Our Story

Founded in May 2005 by packaging industry veterans Sarah Martinez and David Wong (40+ combined years experience), Amcor started with 3 employees and one Bobst die cutter in a 5,000 sq ft rented facility.

By 2015, we secured $2.1M in equipment financing to purchase our current 50,000 sq ft facility. Today we employ 127 full-time staff (82 production, 28 design/CS, 17 admin) across two shifts.

Current production equipment (2024 inventory):

Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 106 (6-color offset, 15,000 sheets/hr, installed March 2019)
Bobst SP102-E die cutter (max 42"×60" sheet, installed July 2021)
HP Indigo 6900 digital press for labels (1200 DPI, installed Feb 2023)
Ward 227PFE folder-gluer with inline inspection (installed Oct 2020)

Company Milestones

2005

Company Founded

Sarah Martinez and David Wong incorporated Amcor Packaging Inc. on May 15, 2005, with initial investment of $180K. First customer: Local bakery chain (still a client today).

2010

FSC Certification

Achieved FSC C016245 certification in March 2010, demonstrating commitment to sustainable sourcing.

2015

Facility Expansion

Purchased and moved to new 50,000 sq ft facility in June 2015 ($2.1M investment), increasing production capacity from 400K to 1.2M units/day.

2020

Digital Transformation

Launched customer portal (built on Salesforce) enabling 24/7 order placement, real-time production tracking, and digital proofing. Reduced order-to-production time from 3 days to 18 hours.

2023

5,000th Customer Milestone

Reached 5,000 cumulative customers in September 2023 (customer #5000: craft brewery in Portland, OR). Active client base as of Dec 2024: 5,247 across 52 countries.
